(source : wikipedia)

« (about her portraits) …. the artist’s preoccupation seems to be, not the creation of a likeness but the presentation of a psychological state. When one looks at these (portraits), one realizes that they are in fact the key to Kulenovic’s work considered as a whole. The still lifes, the architectural compositions, and the landscapes are also, in their essence, attempts to identify and present a particular state of being. Mike Darkas – Hyper-realistic paintings portrait

Mike Darkas – Hyper-realistic paintings portrait (né à Cologne / 1983) :
Hyperrealism, portraits, oil paintings…

« I try to create realistic art on the edge to hyperrealism. Hyperrealism is pure perfection but I want people to understand that it is still a painting. You will always be able to see brushstrokes in my works…. to pay homage to the Old Masters. » (Source : FB)

Adrian Borda, surreal painter – live in Reghin, Romania (1978), as he said :
« a peaceful place with no social life, an ideal place to observe the artistic fight inside me ».

I’m an inner traveler, exploring the mysterious and extremely complex subconscious world. In my real life as well as in my art, I don’t care about conventions and the taboos, there are no sacred memes that cannot be touched. My paintings are deep meditations full of symbols about life and out most intimate tendencies and reactions…not necessarily to create something most people like, but to open a window to haunting images impossible to forget.

L’univers pop surréaliste de Mark Ryden

L’univers pop surréaliste de Mark Ryden. (USA / born January 20, 1963)

Blending themes of pop culture with techniques reminiscent of the old masters, Mark Ryden has created a singular style that blurs the traditional boundaries between high and low art. His work first garnered attention in the 1990s when he ushered in a new genre of painting, « Pop Surrealism », dragging a host of followers in his wake. Ryden has trumped the initial surrealist strategies by choosing subject matter loaded with cultural connotation. Ryden’s vocabulary ranges from cryptic to cute, treading a fine line between nostalgic cliché and disturbing archetype. Seduced by his infinitely detailed and meticulously glazed surfaces, the viewer is confronted with the juxtaposition of the childhood innocence and the mysterious recesses of the soul. A subtle disquiet inhabits his paintings; the work is achingly beautiful as it hints at darker psychic stuff beneath the surface of cultural kitsch. In Ryden’s world cherubic girls rub elbows with strange and mysterious figures. Ornately carved frames lend the paintings a baroque exuberance that adds gravity to their enigmatic themes.

Miho Hirano, graduated from Musashino Art University. Her fantasy art is inhabited by ephemeral women who seem to be merging with their environment, the hair suspended into flowering tree limbs, bird filled bushes, and drifting seaweed.

« I was born between butcher knives and viscera of beef in August 1957 in the Bugey (Rhône-Alpes). Back in the world of work from 18 years and along with my role as a mother, I have always painted.
It is since 2006 that I exclusively dedicated to my work as an artist.
I arrived in Lyon in 2008 was crucial, because for the first time I had a workshop at my disposal. My way of working has changed dramatically, I went from watercolor to acrylic and paper on canvas. This creates a total break transition into my work today, which is claimed and enforced like never before.
Besides painting, my practice has since expanded in the areas of drawing and sculpture on paper. »
